Nicolas joined Joanna Aizenberg's group in February 2012. He received his PhD at the Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research in Mainz, Germany in the group of Katharina Landfester, focussing on the generation of surface patterns with colloidal monolayers.
Currently, his research focuses on approaches to create functional surface coatings by colloidal templating with a focus on non-wetting properties.
