Pingan Zhu received his Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Hong Kong (HKU) in 2017. His doctoral research focused on microfluidics, fluid dynamics, superwettability, and micro/nanoscale motors/actuators. He developed a versatile microfluidic templating platform for engineering solid surfaces into different forms and with well-tailored properties. Pingan joined Aizenberg group as a postdoctoral fellow in February 2020. His current research interest lies in medical applications of slippery surfaces.
