Rafiq Omair is an undergraduate Mechanical Engineering student at the University of Toronto, visiting from the lab of Professor Kevin Golovin. He is currently working in the Aizenberg Lab with Raphael Kay on a new approach for sustainable design and energy management. His research interests span various areas of materials science, with a focus on their practical applications in everyday life.

Rafiq collaborates heavily with STEM outreach groups and community initiatives to help students access opportunities in engineering, research, and related fields. He has held numerous extracurricular roles that have allowed him to serve the engineering community at the University of Toronto and around Canada.
