Sofia is a sophomore in Mather House and a 2025 SURF research assistant concentrating in mechanical engineering joint with chemistry and physics. Interested in using technology to create sustainable solutions, she's currently working with Raphael Kay to develop fluidic devices that can dynamically change how it responds to light, both thermally and optically. Outside the lab, Sofia enjoys playing for the club ice hockey and ultimate frisbee teams, serving as an EMT with CrimsonEMS, and has recently started doing pottery and rock climbing.
