Hamed Almohammadi

Hamed Almohammadi received his Ph.D. in 2023 from ETH Zurich, Switzerland, under the supervision of Prof. Raffaele Mezzenga. His research focused on controlling colloidal self-assembly through liquid-liquid crystalline phase separation.
In September 2023, Hamed joined the group of Prof. Joanna Aizenberg at Harvard University as a Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) postdoctoral fellow. He has been working on developing adaptive materials made from liquid crystal elastomer. In September 2025, he joined the lab of Prof. Chinedom Osuji at the University of Pennsylvania.
