Project Air Tests Air Quality Sensors in HouseZero
Part of the sensor team is focused on taking our sensor of volatiles to commercial readiness, first for accurate indoor air quality measurement. The goal is to provide real-time, quantitative information regarding the specific composition of the air. This is unlike standard sensors employed today that can provide a measure of total volatile organic compounds (tVOCs) but cannot distinguish potentially cancer-causing ones such as benzene from benign ones such as the molecules that produce lavender scent in perfumes.
Thanks to Haritosh & Jack for leading the field tests, the Collab Fund & NSF for funding the project and Harvard's Center for Green Buildings for providing the LivingLab space in HouseZero to run our tests!
