Alina Miranda

Alina is a rising fourth-year student at Colorado College studying chemistry. She is working with Raphael Kay to develop windows lined with liquids that can absorb heat and light to harvest energy for buildings. Alina previously interned in the materials science department at University of California Santa Barbara, researching organic solar cells under professor Thuc-Quyen Nguyen. She is a member of Fahrenkrug Lab at Colorado College, where she researches bipolar electrochemistry and crystallization. Alina is a Boettcher and WES Scholar, and enjoys running, painting, writing, birding, and playing games in her free time.
