Allan Abela
Visiting Masters Student
Allan Abela is a visiting Master's student from ETH Zurich currently completing his Master's thesis at the Aizenberg Lab under the supervision of Haritosh Patel. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from EPFL. Prior to undertaking his thesis, Allan studied at CentraleSupélec in Paris as part of an academic exchange program. His interests lie at the intersection of fluid dynamics, energy systems, and sustainable technological transitions.
During his time with the group, Allan works on fluid dynamics modeling for chemical sensing systems to improve energy efficiency in buildings. His research combines computational fluid dynamics simulations with experimental validation using sensor platforms and real-time data processing.
