Haichao Wu obtained his B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Shandong University, M.S. in Chemical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from University of Colorado Boulder, where he investigated transport (e.g., diffusion, advection and self-propulsion) in porous media using single-particle tracking methods.

He joined the group of Prof. Joanna Aizenberg as a postdoctoral fellow in 2021, where he is currently working on diffusion phenomena in highly-ordered inverse opals and machine learning assisted material design.
