Olivia Snapper
Olivia graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor's in Biomedical Engineering in May 2024, concentrating on cellular and biomolecular processes. She gained valuable experience in Dr. Michael Sacks' lab, working on cardiovascular modeling of the heart and 3D imaging of cells. Additionally, in Dr. Jeffrey Karp's laboratory, Olivia contributed to drug delivery research, where she helped develop a nasal spray designed to capture and neutralize pathogens.
In the Aizenberg lab, Olivia bridges her interests in cardiovascular systems and drug delivery, focusing on improving drug-eluting stent technologies. She is developing a TiNi stent with a slippery liquid-infused porous surface, designed to be infused with therapeutics for improved delivery and anti-biofouling performance.
