Reena joined the lab as a graduate student in 2022 and is pursuing her PhD in Applied Physics (co-advised by Eric Mazur and Joanna Aizenberg). Prior to this, she earned her BSc in Chemical Engineering from the University of Waterloo in 2016, and worked in industry for 6 years as a researcher.

Her research is diverse, focusing on topics such as the prevention of marine organism fouling, the application of laser optics in cellular therapy, the development of biosensors, and the integration of machine learning. Outside of the lab she is an avid pastry chef and enjoys hiking.
