Sam is currently enrolled in a PhD at The University of Sydney under the supervision of A/Prof. Chiara Neto. His research is primarily concerned with the anti-fouling behavior of SLIPS, in particular, understanding the trapped lubricant layer. Having spent two years in industry, he has experience in a wide range of manufacturing and characterization techniques with a focus on nanoscale analysis using AFM. 

He is with Aizenberg group for six months to work on the application of SLIPS to tympanostomy tubes..
