TomBode

Tom Bode is a visiting research fellow in the Aizenberg Laboratory at Harvard University. He received his M.Sc. degrees in Biomedical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering from Leibniz Universität Hannover, where he is currently a Ph.D. student at the Institute for Multiphase Processes. His PhD research focuses on the development of innovative implant coatings to prevent biofouling, combining his expertise in biomaterials and process engineering.

In the Aizenberg Lab, Tom's research focuses on the development of advanced bio-inspired materials and surface coatings with applications in healthcare and industrial processes. Outside the lab, he is the coordinator of the young European Society for Artificial Organs (yESAO), which promotes international collaboration among early-career scientists.
